my story
I grew up in the Bay Area sitting in classrooms where the lessons were in Spanish, and I never once thought to question it. Moving between languages taught me early that the world has more than one version of itself and the best thing you can do is pay attention to all of them.
That perspective followed me to my semester abroad in Madrid, where Spanish became more than something I studied and became something I lived. I wandered, observed, and filled journals with notes about strangers, streets, and small moments that felt enormous. I came home knowing the world is endlessly worth paying attention to and those experiences strengthened my curiosity and my instinct for storytelling.
My interest in storytelling started early, choreographing music videos in my living room, filming makeup tutorials, and vlogging moments that felt important even if no one was watching. That urge to make and share stories never left; it just grew with me.
Sports gave me my foundation as a young girl. But what drew me in wasn’t just the X’s and O’s, it was the stories. The athlete no one saw coming. The season that meant everything to a city. The moment bigger than the game. That’s where my curiosity lives.
Outside of reporting, I crochet, sew, make jewelry, and start podcasts with my best friend. I move through the world collecting moments, from playoff games to cobblestone streets to music festivals. The best storytellers stay curious about everything.
That’s the journalist, and creator, I’m becoming.
